Shrine of the Pines

Located just south of Baldwin, Michigan the Shrine of the Pines museum houses the astounding work of one man. You will see a table made from a 700 lb. stump, a rocking chair of roots so well balanced that one push will set it to rocking 50+ times, a fireplace made of 70 tons of stone, a gun rack with 39 wooden ball bearings and much more.

The Shrine of the Pines sits on the Pere Marquette river and the setting is perfect for this timeless display from another era. The contents of this Michigan treasure are the life work of Raymond W. Overholzer.

This log cabin contains over 200 pieces of his incredible rustic work. The Shrine of the Pines is the largest collection of white pine rustic furniture in the world.
