pentwater lake - Pentwater michigan
Pentwater
Lake in Pentwater Michigan is just one of the natural features that
lend to the reputation of this area for unparalleled beauty.
Pentwater Lake is over 480 acres and is unusual in its irregular
shape and the fact that it connects directly with Lake Michigan. Add
to this the quick drop-offs near shore allowing large boats to be
moored close to shore, and you have a favorite spot for Great Lakes
sailors of all skills.
Boating isn't the only thing about this sheltered body of water. The
fishing is excellent as well. The water is generally too warm for
cold-water trout and salmon, though some do wander in from Lake
Michigan.
On the other hand, perch, bass and sunfish are abundant and the
Pentwater River is stocked periodically with brown trout and
steelhead.
