Eagles at Colon, Michigan
www.colonmi.com
Colon
is a warm and friendly place where visitors are made to feel welcome.
There is a genuine sense of community that can be seen in the way the
historic buildings are preserved and the legends of the past are kept
alive even while the town keeps pace with a modern world.
At almost any time of year you may notice the bald
eagles that are all around. The lakes here attract nesting couples
and in spring you can see them teaching the young how to fish at the
lakes.
Outside of town to the west is a stand of trees where
eagles nest every year. You can take pictures but the nest is on
private property.
