Mackinac Trail

You cross "the bridge" over the straits and find yourself on I-75 which goes north to the "soo" or lets you head west on U.S. 2 toward Manistique, Escanaba and Crystal Falls.  The Mackinac trail is H-63, a two lane paved road that runs from St. Ignace to Sault St. Marie.  H-63 runs almost parallel to I-75 but you would think you are in different worlds.  The highway is a rushing highway and the trail is a quiet winding drive through the pines.
